This is the 3^rd skatepark that I designed and constructed through the company that I own. Everything was perfect. The ramps are a blast to ride and we were able to give the community an amazing skatepark that fit within their budget. I expect a lot of videos to come out of this skatepark so keep your eyes peeled. During a 9 day period we put in 300+ man-hours, 10,000+ screws, 2 hearts and 2 souls. I am very proud of this skatepark.

So I started to film this video and had such huge hopes for it. I got alot of flack because “Mountainboarding is for mountains not skateparks” ( stupid slow ogre voice) Well Let me tell you…. I started building a large jump in the woods at Penn State. It had two hand rails a jump with a 25ft gap and a wall ride made out of 4 doors we found in the trash. I started to film the big happys skatepark bit first because we had already made plans. I ruined my knee and was out for about 3 months. When the contest deadline was coming to a quick finish I went to the outdoor woods course I made to find that it had been smashed to pieces and half of the features were taken out of the woods (I would assume Penn State Maintenance was Informed) This killed my heart and soul. I needed more footage and the only viable option with a bum knee was the skatepark.

This was our first time at this great free skatepark in Pittsburgh. A Mountainbiker and Mountainboarder at a skatepark what are the odds. This is one of my top picks and there is nothing wrong with flipping a spine. I do however wish I had more practice in halfpipes because my mind is always racing with what I could have done after leaving the park.

This was my first time to Big Happy’s. My dad came with me and filmed me ride and we talked to the owner for about 40 minutes. Really nice setup and crew that this skatepark.

There are days I want the long hair back, but the consensus is too sexy too sexy. The local township that made this skatepark spent $120,000. My advice is that a municipality should consult the skaters before they spend that amount of money.

Mountainboarders were not allowed in this skatepark but since it was the last day before they liquidated they agreed to take my money in exchange for a great day. You might notice that I didn’t breath through my nose once during this whole move and that I had a fever, but it was the last day before shebang closed forever.

Jon Sever and I did an event at 885 Skatepark before it closed to help raise some money. My camera’s recording head was a bust and that accounts for the poor video quality, and my stomach didn’t like the gallon of sweet tea moving around and that accounts for the frown.
